Name: Melvin Tweed

Nicknames: M2

Species: Koshka (Basicaly... feline person in universe)

Gender: Male

Age: Equiv of 30ish

Personality: Melvin is... well, he's a bit of a stick in the mud, though not intentionally, really. He does try to get along with people, but apparently, talking about the mating habits of scorpions during dinner is a bit of a social taboo and unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a book he can access about the social norms. He spent most of his time studying, and it's left his social skills slightly (re: a lot) impaired. He's a bit of a workaholic, and if it weren't for Ellie, his house keeper, he'd probably skip meals and likely sleep in the basement, where he keeps his experiment equipment. For all his intelligence, Melvin is horribly, agonisingly slow when it comes to certain things; understanding others and feelings, both range high on said list. Despite the fact he can be watching someone's emotions play on their face and remember them vividly a week later does not help the cause. Being unused to socialising, the way other people's minds work is an complete and utter mystery to him. Needles to say this is a source of constant frustration for both him and his house keeper, who can't understand how the man seems unable to take a hint when flung his way. Even though he usually means well, Melvin comes off as horribly cold. Rude even, at some points; this is mostly due to the fact he rarely shows emotion and his face seems to favour sporting a 'bored' look. That said, when his patience does wear thin, he's also prone to blowing up, displaying quite the amount of passion; this leads him to uttering or doing things he doesn't even mean, at the heat of the moment. All of this makes him rather the awkward man to deal with. Due to having remain secluded away from others (by happy little choice, no less), not only does he not understand others very well, but he's incredibly socially awkward, to the point he might offend others without even meaning to. Even despite the fact he's prone to grumbling and objecting firmly to change, it's easily visible he can adapt with ease rather swiftly to almost any given situation while still keeping his cool. Situations might range from going from living alone holed away in his lab to suddenly being forced to live with what he describes as 'A crazy nut-job women', to being conned into dancing lessons. He is also horribly, horribly addicted to coffee.

Personality in few words: Introvert, awkward, passionate, loner.

Ability:
He doesn't really have any abilities, per say that are out of the ordinary, however, as a Koshka, he's inherited the ability to climb (though... getting down in a different story), and seems to have no trouble landing on his feet. He's also particularly good in colder climates. He also has retractible claws. His tail is prehensile and thus can be used almost like another limb (though nowhere near what a monkey could do).

Notes:
He should be drawn as pretty much... a cat anthro (notice the fact I didn't use the word 'furry' here!). When I say anthro, I pretty much mean a human with a kitty face and fur. The anatomy should still be human, which means he should be plantigrade (like a human) instead of digitigrade (like a cat). Though if you're horribly uncomfortable with drawing 'anthros', talk to me? We can work something out. His fur color is naturally white, but he tends to dye it for ic reasons he seems unwilling to explain. So thus, he can actually be drawn with white fur as oposed to the lilac purple he seems to favor. As a random note, hwe was intially created as a Mewtwo sort of gijinka and he just sort of took a life of his own, hence the name and his general color scheme.

Relationship(s):

EllieDespite being most comfortable at home, alone, he'd noticed he'd become... lonely, and nights in the basements plus few meals were slowly attacking his health; it was due to this that Melvin sought to hire a house keeper, which was how he came across Ellie. Who just so happens to be a Kanus. Which means that she pretty much scared the shit out of poor Melvin initially because holy shit, she's a dog. Fortunately, they slowly got over the fear and proceded into awkward territory, because apparently... sharing a house with the oposite sex is not as easy as it seems upon first thought. Imagine that! Despite the ups and downs, Melvin would not give her up for anything in the world and not only because he has a rather massive crush on her, but because in a way, she completes him. Where he's awkward and slightly untisocial, she's lively, fun loving, and eager to meet and have fun with people. If it weren't for her, he'd still spend 24/7 trapped down in his basement. The problem is, that he has no idea how to even approach the subject of his feelings without posibly making her want to run for the hills, which is, needless to say, unfortunate. As a random note, Ellie, much like Melvin, is 'anthro' in nature. What applies to him in that sense, also applies to her.
