Name: Mortimer

Nicknames: Morton

Species: Skeletal Gargoyle

Gender: Male

Age: Human equiv of around 16

Personality: Despite the way he looks, Mortimer is nothing short of a sweetheart, really. He's been known for walking up to friends randomly, dropping his head on their shoulder's for a moment, and pretty much silently beg for a pet on the head or hug, for no other reason than it feels good and makes him feel happy. Spontaneous, cheerful and laid back when it comes to life. At the same time, he's also vaguely lazy and if you want him to actually do something you might have to push him into it, because he'd much rather lay with his head on your lap than do work. Fun loving, Morton enjoys a good joke, even if the joke's on him, and can take them just about as well as he can dish them. He tends to hang out with Coralie, and although she seems to 'lead' the duo, it's not due to Morton being meek or a follower by nature; he just seems happy to let her lead because she feels more comfortable that way. The way he sees it, he doesn't really care if she wants to er... top, metaphorically speaking, given the fact they're both going to have fun anyways. Due to being a gargoyle, Morton has a rather persistent instinct to protect, and it tends to rear it's head in the strangest of situations; what do you mean that ledge over there wasn't occupied? That ledge is his, okay? And he's going to protect it with his life! Now get the hell off of it! His protective instincts also happy to people, and though not overbearing, it tends to trigger if he feels they're in trouble. The fact he's generally cheerful doesn't mean he's not a mean fighter, which he actually is. He's absolutely terrified of magic users and tends to react in a negative way towards them unless he feels they are no threat to him.

Personality in few words: Sweet, cheerful, scary/manic/psychotic looking, laid back, protective, loyal.

Ability:
 Can shape shift into a much more 'feral' form, or a sort of in between, beast like form. In battle, he's able to make himself solid rock but remain mobile. His wings allow him to fly.

Notes:
Morton's sort of short. He's no taller than 5'2". Despite the fact he's made of bones, his clothes are designed to hide most of his body, making it (hopefully!) easier to draw him. Artists are welcome to change the clothes around a bit to help hide sections of the bones they might have trouble with, if they're more comfortable that way. He's sweet and cheerful, but often tends to look manic, or almost psychotic, which usually scares most people away. He has almost... puppy like mannerism and has absolutely no personal bubble, so to speak. He'll huge, touch and lean on people in extremely innocent ways. He really likes physical touch and leans towards it.

Relationship(s):

Coralie: A rather sassy, sly witch that Morton was initially extremely wary/scared off. He soon enough deemed her harmless, and curious, began to hang out with her. They became swift friends and partners in crime, per say. They're not malicious at all, but they are a pair of tricksters and often get into trouble due to the pranks and stunts they pull. In all honesty, Coralie's the much more mischievous of the two by far. Morton merely follows along with her plans because, well... honestly, because he likes the little witch much more than he realizes he does. The two have a really laid back sort of relationship; they flirt, the banter, and are not above touching each other. Hugs abound, he naps with his head on her lap, etc, and yet it's never really gone beyond that. Morton's actually nursing a rather large crush on Cora, but has either not noticed it, or... has, but hasn't decided to make a move because he's just so comfortable with how the relationship works already. It's sort of a case of 'Everyone can see it' though, for the most part. Coralie has a talking, nagging, hat called Wilfred, and a talking, easily scared, black cat.
